School Visits

As a former grade school teacher, Sue loves visiting school age children to share her books, have engaging conversations, and to provide fun activities for students.

Sue loves sharing her passion for reading and writing. She encourages students to be creative, to refine their ideas, and to understand writing concepts that can then be applied to their school lessons.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL VISIT
May, 2023
Sue will visit a local elementary school and will present to students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. She will be reading her book, Grandma’s Sock Drawer, as well as sharing some sneak peeks of her soon to be published sequel. She’ll explore creative ways to look at writing, developing ideas, and more.

LOCAL AUTHOR BOOK SALE
July 30, 2022
Join Sue at this special gathering of over 50 Michigan authors for a book sale and signing. Located at the Sterling Heights Public Library, the Local Author Book Sale event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sue’s novel, Grandma’s Sock Drawer, will be available for purchase. Come join the fun!

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL VISIT
March, 2022
Sue visited school children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade to celebrate March is Reading Month. She read her books to the students, each grade experiencing a unique excerpt, and then proceeded to discuss writing with the students to explore creativity, developing and refining ideas, and understanding the difference between fiction and nonfiction.

Book Signings

Meet the author! Sue is available for book signings at local venues including book stores. Sue’s books offer inspiration for readers of many ages.

ROCHESTER AUTHOR FAIR
November, 2020 This annual event was created to embrace the way libraries inspire reading by connecting writers and readers within the community. The second annual Rochester Author Fair was produced by the Rochester Hills Public Library and Rochester Writers in Rochester, Michigan. Nearly thirty local authors were featured in recorded interviews that featured a Q&A with the selected authors. View Sue’s interview here.
